A Record Summer for Alabama Adapted Athletics

This summer marked another incredible milestone in our partnership with Alabama Adapted Athletics Summer Camp, as we proudly supported the program's largest summer camp to date. More than 100 athletes participated in the overnight wheelchair basketball camp, while 32 girls attended, making it the largest in the program's history for girls' participation. This year's camp also expanded beyond the basketball court. 

For the first time, athletes had the opportunity to participate in para track and field, wheelchair tennis and wheelchair basketball during the day. 

To help every camper feel like they belonged from the moment they arrived, the SDM Rising Youth Athletics Foundation provided backpacks and camp shirts for every athlete, along with matching shirts for coaches and staff. 

While they may seem like simple gifts, they represent something much greater: a community where every athlete is welcomed, supported and empowered to succeed.
